Preparation Instructions for Posters
LAYOUT
Columns: Arrange your material in columns instead of rows. It is easier for readers to visualize a panel systematically than zigzagging from one side to the other.
Placing your most important results at level of the reader’s eyes
Introduction / Conclusion: An introduction should be placed in the upper left and a conclusion in the lower right area, using a source of at least 3.5 cm. It is rarely necessary to place a copy of the abstract.
Grouping similar items by color: Sessions can be placed with the same background color. The background colors should be soft and grays are the most effective.
Taking advantage of printers and programs: The wide availability of jet-de-ink printers and layout programs enables economic production of attractive and effective panels on a single sheet and can be easily transported in a tube. Use borders to separate areas.
TEXT
Range: Prepare a track on top of the panel indicating the title of the abstract, the author (s) and affiliation (tion).
Text size: The text should be written in font size 16 or larger for easy reading from a distance.
Lists: numbered or bulleted lists are effective in drawing attention to several points.
ILLUSTRATIONS
Figures: should be designed to be seen from a distance and must use clear symbols, visible patterns and large font.
Color: can be effective if used sparingly; use saturated dark colors in white or soft backgrounds, and clear, bright colors on dark backgrounds.
Sequence: The sequence of illustrations should be indicated with numbers or letters of at least 3.5 cm.
The panel should include overhead, highlighted the following items: Job title, name (s) of (s) author (s) and affiliation (Lab / Department / Center …). They should also be shown: Introduction, Objectives, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, and References (when relevant). At the bottom of the panel should be placed the SIGRADI 2015 Band provided in this link:
Band Sigradi
For each panel will be reserved a space of 80cm wide and 120cm high. Those who exceed these measures may not be posted. It will be made available by the organizers metal brackets to hang the panel.
Posters should be printed by authors.
